My Name is Lesley Thorsell.  The body art I have in my picture is the Flower of Life, created by the amazing Autumn Skye Morrison.  The Flower of Life is a symbol of sacred geometry, a visual expression of the connection life weaves through all beings on earth.

This symbol truly captures the message of the calendar, that all living matter is connected and a healthy outer environment reflects a healthy inner environment.  The calendar highlights some of the beautiful and inspirational areas of Powell River for the enjoyment for tourists and locals.  Ultimately, it is economically beneficial to our community and planet to keep a balance in nature.  To sustain trees, trails, fish bearing streams, rivers and wildlife, all that nature freely offers us.  After all tourism brings in as much revenue as forestry, agriculture and fisheries combined.

There is an emphasis on breast health in the calendar, to offer the message of the immense power within our immune system and mind to practice prevention.  The Pink and Green Campaign endorse the intricate relationship between Breast Health and Environment Health and this resonates with me completely.  My intention is that this calendar will resonate with you also and touch your heart and spirit.
